LandBack Ministries – Scope of Coaching Services & Boundaries

This document outlines what clients can expect from coaching and teaching services provided through LandBack Ministries. It ensures clarity, respect, and ethical practice.

What I offer:

  • Educational coaching for church leaders, Christian educators, and faith communities

  • Workshops and presentations on Indigenous teachings, the influence of the Doctrine of Discovery on contemporary theology, biblical stewardship of the land, and reconciliation

  • Theological reflections and biblical creation teachings rooted in relationship-first ministry

  • Practical guidance for churches seeking to begin or deepen reconciliation efforts

  • Devotional content and faith teachings that lean on Indigenous frameworks

  • Support in crafting land acknowledgements, reconciliation commitments, or faith-based learning plans

What I do not offer:

To honour Indigenous nations and maintain ethical clarity:

❌ I do not speak for any Indigenous nation or community
❌ I do not provide legal, psychological, or crisis counselling
❌ I do not replace denominational oversight or doctrinal leadership
❌ I do not endorse forced theological syncretism or reshape Christian doctrine
❌ I do not offer medical advice (including for plant medicines)
❌ I do not mediate disputes between churches and Indigenous communities

What Clients Can Expect: 

  • A safe, respectful, judgment-free learning environment

  • Honest, research-based education on the Doctrine of Discovery and impacts on Indigenous peoples

  • Content honouring Indigenous teachings while remaining consistent with Christian faith

  • Guidance on how to walk gently, humbly, and relationally

  • Scripturally-rooted teachings

  • Clear explanations that help reduce fear of “saying the wrong thing”

Client Responsibilities:

  • Approach the journey with humility and willingness to learn

  • Recognize that reconciliation is a long-term journey, not one-and-done after a session

  • Commit to respectful dialogue, even when topics feel challenging

  • Understand that each Indigenous community has its own teachings

Confidentiality:

All coaching conversations are confidential unless:

  • safety concerns arise

  • information is required to be disclosed by law

Cultural Sensitivity & Boundaries:

LandBack Ministries teaches from Indigenous perspectives and biblical living in Right Relationship with God's creation, but does not represent all nations, cultures, or elders.

Clients agree to:

  • avoid appropriating ceremonial practices

  • understand there are vast differences between Indigenous nations

  • refrain from using Indigenous teachings learned out of context
